Uptime

This is the Itomic Utilities uptime probe.

We fetch public pages that someone asked us to watch. We are not indexing the web.

What we do

  • One HTTPS GET per distinct URL per hour, at :00 UTC, from an AWS Lambda in Sydney (ap-southeast-2).
  • Follow a few redirects, wait at most 10 seconds, and read the first 64 KB of HTML or plain text.
  • User-Agent: ItomicUtilities-Uptime/1.0 (+https://utilities.itomic.com/uptime/probe)
  • We do not store response bodies. We keep a 30-day hourly status log for the person who verified the watch.
  • We do not treat robots.txt as the uptime signal. This is a single named health check, not a crawler.

Opt out

Block this User-Agent or the probe address, or email Itomic via itomic.com.au with the host you want us to stop requesting. We will add it to the deny list.
